WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Senator Daniel K. Akaka (D-HI), Chairman of the Veterans' Affairs Committee, has scheduled a vote on the nomination of Dr. James Peake to be Secretary of Veterans Affairs.  Dr. Peake, nominated by President George W. Bush to fill the now-vacant role of Secretary of Veterans Affairs, testified before the Committee on December 5, 2007.
